In addition to the adult Lesser Yellowlegs on the marsh, several species of wader are showing well on the beach. Main species included Ringed Plover, Dunlin and Turnstone but a single Bar-tailed Godwit, four Whimbrel and a couple Sanderling added to the show. Some images from today are shown below:
Perfect depth of field,and so much character in the shots,I particularly like the strutting Dunlin. I revisited at high tide but sadly the birds had flown. Luck flies in odd directions though,an whilst eating a sandwich two male Mandarins flew out of a ditch and down the road... such is life. Great shots! ever an inspiration. Thanks Derek.
