Newquay Pelagic - 6th August

Twelve of us sailed from Newquay Harbour for an eight hour pelagic 20 miles due north. In perhaps too mild conditions with little wind and bright sunshine, we enjoyed excellent views of Sooty Shearwater, Balearic Shearwater, Manx Shearwater and Storm Petrels. The aim was find more Wilson's Petrels after the large numbers seen at the weekend but sadly we just couldn't connect. Below are some Sooty Shearwater and one Manx Shearwater images of the day.
